About SALTHOUSE

◆◇◆◇◆
Salthouse is an old Japanese style house that stands in Shimanami Kaido, one of the well known sea routes in Japan. It was built through self renovating a 70 years old dental clinic in Hakata Island, famous for its salt, soon after The World War 2.

It is now perceived as artistic and cultural building with unique design glass, brass knob, traditional crafts such as Ranma, Bingo Tatami, a ceiling made of bottom plating of a ship. Such nostalgic furnishings are reminiscent of lifestyle established by people in old days, creating its peaceful and cozy atmosphere.
